December Goals #4
I was hoping to post this article sooner. I also wish it was as light and full of gratitude than my previous one. Unfortunately, it looks like 2020 is going to be a hard year, from start to finish. This week, I have lost my beloved dog Ben. He had been with us for fourteen years and was my best and most loyal friend. I am heartbroken and absolutely devastated, but life goes on and it’s time to jump back on the train.
Last month, we stayed home 99% of the time as we were in lockdown. We kept ourselves cozy (and busy) with Rio, watching movies next to the fireplace. I have done all my Christmas shopping – ordered and bought mainly from local shops. I can now relax and focus on my last week of work before heading back to France. We have also decorated the house, even though we had to take down our tree yesterday (the joy of having a kitten). I baked some cinnamon rolls and I was pretty happy with the results ! Finally, I watched countless Christmas movies and read a lot. I can strike all items from my November list 🙂
My November Goals
Prepare my gifts for Christmas
Make cinnamon rolls
Start decorating the house for Christmas
Finish the book I have been reading
Buy as many local products/gifts as possible
I am not going to hide that this year, December and Christmas are going to be difficult and sad … The Holidays are also going to be so much different due to covid and the loss of loved ones … I love this time of the year so I will do my best to enjoy it anyway. We will be in France in a week and it will be nice to be home with our family and have a proper break. I am going to relax and recharge my batteries. I will cook, enjoy nice meals, read by the fireplace, watch Christmas movies. I am also going to need to take care of myself, physically and psychologically, so I can start off 2021 properly.
My December Goals
– Spend quality time with my loved ones
– Watch Christmas movies
– Read by the fireplace
– Prepare my 2021 goals
– Take care of myself
